As you may have read on the forum already, our Finance Minister has decided, after the outcome of the Senate vote on his proposal regarding monetary policy and coin design, to resign. S;reu Perthonest, who served in the previous government, has done a tremendous amount of work for our Kingdom and we are very thankful for that. His presence at the cabinet table will be missed.

Your Majesty, I would like to inform you that this government has been able to find a replacement, who is willing to take on the heavy burden of Finance minister. The previous weeks have been rough for this government, so we are very glad that we could find someone who is capable and whom we can trust.

Firstly, I must apologize for my disappearance. I have grossly neglected my duties.
Secondly, as the Scribery has been plagued by the absent, I feel I must regrettably remove Eiric Vürinalt and Stéafan D'Unmortadel as deputies, thanking them for their services in the past.
Thirdly, I must thank Marti-Pair Furxheir and Alexandreu Davinescu for their continued dedication to the Scribery.
Fourthly, I would like to point out to everyone who may not already be aware, but Alexandreu Davinescu has been doing an outstanding job of doing my job for me.
Finally, and most sadly and belatedly, I must resign as Scribe. I should have done this quite a while ago, and I'm surprised that I was unable to find any evidence that I had been removed from office (as would have been beyond reasonable).

MinFor Statement on Ukraine

Greetings, citizens.

In response to the recent invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces in order to bring about the secession of Crimea to the Russian Federation, the Foreign Ministry makes the following statement on behalf of the Talossan government.

The government of Talossa strongly condemns the recent military intervention in the Crimean peninsula by the Russian Federation and gives its resolute support to those Crimean Tartars who have been subject to racial discrimination of any kind. Similarly, we support the right to self-determination of the Tartars, as well as the ethnic Ukrainians and ethnic Russians of the region.

As you may have read on the forum already, this is the second time this term that our Attorney General has resigned. I can truly say that I regret his decision, but again it seems there is little choice other than to respect it. I would like to thank S:reu Asmourescu for his willingness to serve as AG and also for the work he has done during his short term in office.

I, again, also have good news. We have been able to find a very good replacement, who is a rising star in the world of Talossan politics and legal affairs. It just so happens that this person also managed to get admitted to the Royal Talossan Bar today, so the timing seems perfect.

The bad news is that our Attorney General has informed me that his life outsife Talossa keeps him busy to such an extent that it interferes with his work as Attorney General. He therefore wishes to resign. It seems to me that we have little choice but to accept his resignation. I would like to thank S:reu Ursüm for his willingness to serve as AG these last few weeks and for all the work he has done in his role and I wish him all the best with the rest of his life, both in Talossa and in the UK. 

The good news is that we have been able to find a very good replacement; Someone with consirable experience in Talossa's legal world already, who also happens to be a former Justice on the Uppermost Court.

On behalf of His Majesty's Government, I would like to offer my sincerest thanks to all the Deputy Ministers who served under the previous government. The work you put in was exceptional and you are all a credit to the Talossan nation as a result of the work you have poured into the last government. But, as I'm sure you've noticed, times are in fact changing. The challenges of coalition government are manifold and it requires the politicisation of Deputy Ministers in the sense that they are now required to be as this government understands, 'political understudies' as Minister Schiva put it.

Deputy Ministers for Stuff, Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Justice, this government would like to thank you for your time and effort. You are, as of the 25th of January 2014, relieved of your duties. Take a well deserved rest, and once again: I thank you.

the coalition parties, MRPT, ZRT and LPR/RPT have agreed on the appointment of a cabinet consisting of the following ministers. The result is a strong team, consisting of members of all three parties and independents, both young, ambitious politicians and experienced Talossans, including two former Prime Ministers and also a former President and two former PMs of the Republic. All these Talossans have shown to be active, loyal and dedicated, so I am confident they will serve Talossa well.
